What's not to like about the Travelodge Gatwick Airport? Regular shuttle-bus service, an on-site cafe bar, flexible check-in and some low, low prices.
Whilst visitors to the area might recognise it as the former 4-star Mercure Hotel, newbies will be relieved to know the room rates are considerably lower. This is Travelodge, but not as we know it. This time it has a full set of booster rockets: a 24/7 Shuttle bus service to the North and South Terminals, a fresh and contemporary bar cafe to soothe those pre-flight nerves, cosy 10.5 tog duvets for a snug night’s sleep and a generous selection of pillows (plump and soft) for that impromptu pillow-fight or for propping up Grandad when the in-flight G&Ts wear off.
Although it’s safe to presume you’re here for the airport, those with kids in tow might be pleased to learn that Chessington World of Adventure is just a short drive away whilst those with dreams of grandeur might enjoy nearby Windsor Castle and Chartwell House (home of our erstwhile warlord, Winston Churchill).
It’s a cheap and friendly option not likely to suit everyone but a welcome relief for your pocket.
You’ll find the Travelodge Gatwick Airport just 5-minutes minutes walk from Horley Railway Station and within a few minutes’ drive of Junction 9 of the M23 – R4U
