Webbington Hotel and Spa

The Webbington Hotel enjoys a stunning location, that’s for sure. Cheddar Gorge, the caves and Cheddar Reservoir are all just 10 minutes drive away, and you are also within a few hundred metres of the M5 motorway, which is going to be great for speedy exits home or days out at the beach at Weston Super Mare and Burnham. The hotel can be found in the picturesque hamlet of Loxton, on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills and boasts some great spa and leisure facilities. Bed & breakfast rates at the Webbington start at around the £45 mark if you manage to grab a cheap late deal from our partners, Late Rooms, which is a 60% reduction on standard rates.

The rooms themselves are a fairly swish affair with large en suite bathrooms and gentle Georgian furnishings. All of the rooms feature flatscreen TV and complimentary toiletries a standard. Many of the rooms also overlook the hotel gardens which feature a happy abundance of evergreen shrubs and trees.

The spa and leisure facilities are first-class. Guests can look forward to a few strokes in the generously sized indoor swimming pool or sweating out the blues in the sauna. There’s also a solarium, gym and tennis courts available.

Breakfast is served in the mock-Tudor dining room. The Tiark Restaurant does a fair job of providing some decent gastro-pub menus and guests can look forward to oak panelled walls, cosy open fires and a prompt, attentive service.
